I wanted to implement a little more fashion onto my blog! Fall is my favorite season, for many reasons, but I especially love fall fashion! So, here are my 4 tips for transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall!
- One or the other. When I am thinking or planning my outfits for upcoming events or occasions in the fall or trying to decide what to keep in my closet or store for later, I always make sure I wear either a long sleeve with shorts/skirt or pants with a short sleeve. I call it my “One or the other” rule.
- Layers. The weather fluctuates so much in the fall! From day to day or even from day to night. Building off my “One or the other rule, I always make sure my outfits are planned with easy layering options, so I can throw on a jacket confidently, knowing my outfit still looks cute and put together.
- Colors. Classic fall colors are earthy, natural colors (greens, orange, browns, etc.). Obviously, there are always different trends and other colors that get thrown into the mix, but typically, earthy, natural colors always stay true to fall fashion. With that said, as I transition my wardrobe, think about buying new clothes, plan outfits for the fall, etc. I keep this color palette in mind!
- Fabric. One of the most under-rated topics when talking about transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall. One of my favorite fall fabrics is leather and suede. Both of these are much warmer than cotton or denim. I also keep fabrics in mind when I am planning my outfits, looking at new things to buy, or considering for an outfit for that day, knowing the weather can change on a dime!
I wanted to keep this post short, sweet and to the point. I hope I accomplished that, or was close! Let me know if you like these fashion-related posts and if you would like to see more from me in the future! You can always comment down below.
