This month, I do have a lot of beauty items, but also a few non-beauty items sprinkled in. If you want to see a more in-depth explanation of why I have been loving these products, here is the link to my April Favorites YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm5p5X367qY&t=86s
First up, these JCrew Factory Morgan Calf Hair Peep Toe Flats. I bought these shoes for Easter and have gotten so many compliments of them when I wear them! I like how they are faux hair, as opposed to a canvas fabric pattern. I loved how classy they were and how they dressed an outfit up and also added to the outfit with the leopard print! I am typically an 8 or 8.5 but since I have wide feet and with the structure of the front of the shoe, I was an 8.5 in these.
Next, I bought this Kate Spade card holder! When I bought this, it was on sale for $30! I was looking for a card holder, because I have a Coach wallet, which I love, but on nights out or when I have a small handbag and I only need my ID and credit card, I just wanted to use a card holder in order to keep everything safe and together but not carry around my entire wallet. Unfortunately, they sold out of this color, but there are still colors or patterns that are being sold for $30 or $35!
First of many beauty items…this Too Faced Sweet Peach Papa Don’t Peach Blush! I love the size and color of this so much! It smells like peaches which is amazing! I like how it has a super subtle shimmer in it. I did not buy it this month, but I have been using it a lot more, as summer is approaching.
Next…the Tarte. Toasted. Palette. This palette is everything! Tarte is my favorite eye shadow brand and favorite makeup brand in general and this palette is everything and more that I expected from Tarte! I haven’t used it too too much yet, but I am starting to use it much more! The shades blend like a dream, as do all Tarte eye shadows and the pigment is unreal. I highly recommend this palette if you are looking to invest in a new eye shadow palette!
Up next is the Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop. This is another product that I did not buy this month but have been using more and more and am loving this month! This highlighter practically broke the internet when it first came out and was one of the main reasons why the “see my highlighter from mars” trend started! It is very pigmented and I love to use this in the inner corner of my eye, cupids bow and the tip of my nose! If you want a strong highlighter, this is an amazing product for you!
Next, is one of my favorite products of all time. The By Terry Lash-Expert Twist Brush. Yes. Twist Brush. (MIND BLOWN). By Terry is a known for their innovative products. This, in my opinion, is the most innovative product ever made in the makeup industry! In the picture above, you can see the brush at its longest length. This is great for coating every eyelash with mascara and elongating your lashes for a natural, long look. THEN. You can twist the bottom of the mascara wand to shorten the wand… (see below)
This length is great for a more bold, dramatic mascara look. Lydia Millen Gordon, my all time favorite Youtber/Blogger/Instagrammer/Influencer, spoke about this mascara and I knew that if she talked about it, it had to be just as amazing as it sounded. And I am here to confirm that it is! I love how I have the luxury of choosing between a more natural look or a more dramatic look in ONE mascara! I don’t have to got back between two. I like to use the longer length for the first coat, then apply a second layer using the shortened wand over top.
Almost done I promise! I, again, did not buy this product this month, but have been using it almost every time I put makeup on now. It’s the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. When I apply eyeliner, I only like to use the thinnest line on the base of my eyelid where my lashes attach. This liner is really thin, the thinnest liquid liner there is to my knowledge, which is why I like it! However, if you want a liner that you use for doing a wing, I do not recommend this liner, since it is so thin.
Next up it the Glossier Moon Lidstar! I love this product! Liquid eyeshadow is currently very trendy and this is a great product for a natural, liquid eyeshadow! Glossier is a brand that has mastered the “no makeup, makeup” in every product. And this is no different! You can also use this as a liquid highlighter and blend this into the highest points of your cheeks, inner corner of your eye, bridge of your nose, or wherever you prefer to apply highlighter!
Next is the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Single in Ginger. I love Kylie’s matte liquid lipsticks, because they don’t budge and the pigment is perfection. These formulas also have a vanilla scent to them, which is definitely pleasant! I will say that these formulas are drying, so make sure to hydrate your lips before and after you use them!
Last but not least is this Urban Outfitters Stainless Steel Canister! I bought this because I liked the bigger diameter, compared to the S’well water bottles. The marble casing is so sleek and beautiful and I have gotten so many compliments on it since I have started using it!
