I am still riding my wave of excitement of not being in preseason for the first time in 8 years! I do have to say, however, this summer I haven’t done a very good job at sticking to my goals, more specifically, a workout program. Since this summer is crazy busy for my boss and I in addition to starting full time employment, I felt that I was okay with not training with 100% intensity this summer, for a first.
- With that said, I don’t particularly feel good about my body inside or out, so my biggest goal for September is to get back to enjoying working out! Since my schedule was so crazy this summer, I found myself trying to fit in a workout as quickly as possible and have found myself more stressed about working out and dreaded doing them. This is not like me to not like working out, but because of the pressure I felt to do it quickly before my next clients came in, I started to develop a negative relationship with working out.
- In terms of social media, I my goal is to get 150 followers on Twitter! My Twitter following hasn’t particularly increased since I started to build my social media presence, even though I have consistently posted everyday, so I have been trying to make my tweets more personal and find the line between putting enough content out without bombarding my followers.
- Another goal I have, is I want to enjoy Maine. Even though I am sad to see the summer leave, words cannot express my excitement for fall. One of my favorite things to do is spend time in Maine in the fall. Since I have been in New York the past 4 years, I haven’t been able to do the things I love most about Maine! Today was the first day I noticed some of the leaves changing, and it instantly brought a smile to my face!
- Lastly, I really want to get my room organized. I have been slowly chipping away at renovating my room, which you can see updates on from my Instagram. So far, I have gotten a new, custom desk and bench to go with it, along with wall shelving next to my closet. I am hoping to accomplish another section in my room this month!
